We obtained every deer at Eagles Nest Preserve with the goal of producing the best genetics for white tail. Our herd is currently approximate one hundred fifty, and constantly growing. The biggest deer observed to date was a twenty point, three year old weighing approximately two hundred fifty pounds. Our deer are fed year-round, and we engage in natural predator control to keep our deer healthy. Predators include fox, bobcat and coyotes.
We are high fence MLB (maintenance land development ) Level 3, which means we are under the supervision of Texas Parks and Life for the number of deer present.
If you are lucky, a resident doe will let you feed out of your hand!
